Has anyone tried any of the lacewoods for a top? It sure would be purdy

The Sycamore and Lacewood I've handled, even quartered, hasn't been super-resonant or very stiff. Pretty light, though...

I've heard of lacewood tops, but have not heard how they worked. I would expect that they would need to be thinner because of the weight. I did one with a maple top one time, it hit the dumpster.

I really like the look of some of the Lacewood I have seen, but not sure if I would try and use it for a top.
